Michele Bolos is the founder and CEO of Next Tier Concepts (NT Concepts), a national security solutions provider for the intelligence and defense communities since 1998. In this role, she oversees strategic direction, organic growth plans, and has built a culture of respect within the company. From the very beginning of NT Concepts, her goal was to remain ahead of all new and rapidly changing technology trends while always providing exceptional customer service.
Before founding NT Concepts, which delivers transformative enterprise solutions in data engineering, data science, automation, machine learning operations (ML Ops), digital transformation, and IT modernization professional services to the intelligence community, DoD, and federal civilian markets, Michele earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.
She has also served as a system engineer for Alfa-Laval Thermal in Richmond, Virginia, and has been an independent consultant for Mobil Oil, Talus Corporation, and API/WANG Global. During that time, she led complex software engineering efforts for the commercial andfederal marketplace.
As NT Concepts’ CEO, Michele was named the Executive of the Year for companies $75 million to $300 million as part of the 2016 Greater Washington GovCon Awards. In her 30-year career, she is proud to have taken NT Concepts through two recessions, four administrations, and countless industry shifts while maintaining steady growth and continuing success. Over this time, she has built long-lasting relationships with employees, clients, and colleagues, creating a strong foundation to tackle the ever-changing landscape of national security.
As a proud tech entrepreneur and a woman in STEM, Michele serves on the professional Board of Directors of the Professional Services Council (PSC) and Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the non-profit boards of Gabriel Homes, Inc., Leadership Mission International, and The Corp Network. Her passion for encouraging girls to get involved in STEM at an early age is why she is an advocate and supporter of the Children’s Science Center of Northern Virginia.
Michele, her husband, and two daughters currently live in Oak Hill, Virginia. She is a native of Virginia and has made the Washington, DC, area her home since 1994.
