After an eventful trade deadline in the NFL, sports pundits around the country are trying to determine who “won,” and Doug Gottlieb thinks many are missing the obvious. While many are praising the Indianapolis Colts for acquiring Pro Bowl CB Sauce Gardner from the Jets, the first-round picks they gave up could ultimately benefit the Jets if they can make the right decisions on draft day.
Doug Gottlieb: “All you’re hoping with those two first-round draft picks is that one of the players is as impactful as Sauce Gardner has been throughout his career, and it hasn’t been very long. So, there’s a world out there where it looks like a great trade for the Colts, they overpaid value-wise because they knew what they were getting, and yet maybe the Jets get over on them.”
