2 years ago, I was asked/challenged to do something completely out of my comfort zone. I hate cold weather. I'm not big on jumping into any body of water where I can't see my feet below. But, I am one of those people when faced with a challenge.....I cannot say no. And, this one proved to be life changing. I jumped into the frigid Chesapeake Bay in January. Not one time. That would be too easy. I did it 24 TIMES IN 24 HOURS. I became a Super Plunger. It was cold. It was exhausing. In the middle of the night, on no sleep and ice forming in the bay, I wanted to quit and say no more. I did not. You see, I was plunging along with amazing and inspiring Special Olympic athletes. I helped them put on and take off their water shoes. I helped them jump in. And, let's be honest, in many hours, they helped me even more. Here's where YOU come in. I need YOUR help, too. Please consider a small donation to help push me in (24 times!). All the $ goes to Special Olympics MD, and their athletes deserve every bit of it!
