The Kelce brothers referred to Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy as Taylor Swift's "second favorite player" during the latest episode of their New Heights podcast released on Wednesday (October 1).
"It was a big day to have Taylor's second-favorite player back, Xavier Worthy," said retired former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, which got a laugh from his brother and Swift's fiancé, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in a clip shared by New Heights' X account.
Swift had previously appeared on New Heights and discussed how she became obsessed with football upon dating Kelce, recounting how excited she was when the Chiefs selected Worthy, a standout receiver from the University of Texas, in the first-round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
"I fell in love with it. I became obsessed with it," she beamed. "I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, 'We drafted Xavier Worthy!' And my friends are like, 'Who body snatched you? What do you mean we drafted Xavier Worthy?'"
Worthy, who sustained a dislocated shoulder after colliding with Kelce in the Chiefs' Week 1 loss, returned in Week 4 and led Kansas City in receptions (5), receiving yards (83) and rushing yards (38) during Sunday's (September 29) win against the Baltimore Ravens.
"Man Trav, he's the biggest hype man on the team," Worthy told reporters during his postgame press conference via PEOPLE. "He's always just hyping guys up and telling me like, 'Man, I need you,' and I'm 'always the guy that's gonna step up,' so I just want to step up for the guys."
