A beloved Prince George's County school teacher was found deceased inside of her classroom on Wednesday night, says Prince George's County Police.
Cheryl Mitchell, a popular teacher at High Point High School in Beltsville, was reportedly found at around 7:15 PM inside the school and was pronounced dead. She was identified by a Prince George's County Public Schools spokesperson on Thursday morning.
The official says that Mitchell died of natural causes in her classroom. Police say there are no signs of any foul play involved in her passing.
Mitchell was only 57 years old. She was known as a "strong student advocate who respected and supported diversity."
