A house in Middle River caught on fire and was badly damaged after a SUV reportedly crashed into it, leading to an explosion.
A news bulletin posted by the Baltimore County Government says the incident occurred at around 8:45am on Monday on Ramble Run Road in Middle River.
The Baltimore County Fire Department responded to a call of a fire and found the house engulfed on two floors and were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
Nearby neighbors told officials they heard multiple loud explosive sounds. Officials believe the sounds may have been caused by an exploding battery. There were also multiple gas cans inside of the garage that appear to have fueled the fire as well.
Two individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment for non-life-threatening treatment. No one was reportedly inside the home at the time of the incident.
An investigation is currently underway.
