DC to Require Vaccination for Certain Indoor Establishments

Mayor Muriel Bowser announced today (Dec. 22) that beginning 6AM on January 15, people ages 12+ will need to have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to enter certain indoor establishments.

Proof of vaccination will be required at restaurants, bars, nightclubs, indoor cultural and entertainment facilities, indoor exercise and recreational establishments and indoor event and meeting establishments. Exceptions will be carved out for instances when a person is only briefly entering an establishment,(ex: to use a restroom or pick up an order.)

Your original vaccine card, a photocopy, photo, immunization record print out from the patient portal of their vaccine/healthcare provider or participation with the VaxYes or Clear apps are all acceptable forms of vaccination proof.
