The holiday season is here and it is already a stressful time for many people. To make matters worse, there has been a stark rise in the number of "porch pirates" in recent years, thieves who snatch up deliveries made in residential areas before they are claimed by their owners.
So even though the pirates have caused headaches for many who are possibly expecting gifts to be delivered, at least one has been taken off the streets of Maryland, if only temporarily.
Multiple calls to police in the Belcamp area of Harford County were placed on Thursday in regards to a porch pirate making off with multiple people's packages in the early afternoon areas.
The Harford County Sheriff's Office even shared a photo of the alleged perpetrator to social media, asking for the public's help identifying the suspect.
The man, wearing a Baltimore Ravens hat, visibility vest and cargo pants while taking a drag on a cigarette was later identified as 37-year-old John Brock of Dundalk.
After being identified, Brock was reportedly arrested at his home in Dundalk.
Anyone believing they were a victim of Brock's antics is being asked to call 410-612-1717 to speak with a Deputy.
