The National Weather Service has issued a "slight" chance for the possibility for a winter storm for the Maryland and Virginia regions for the middle part of the upcoming week.

The NWS is predicting the winter weather could be in our region in the late hours of Tuesday into Wednesday mid-day. Per the NWS, a "slight" risk means "If threat materializes, may cause travel disruptions." Anyone who has lived in the area for a while now knows that any form of winter precipitation usually spells disaster on the roads.

No "significant" amounts of snow are to be expected from the weather system at the time of this writing. There is also the possibility of more winter weather coming to the DMV next weekend.
