Will the DMV See Its First Snow of the Season Sunday Night/Early Monday?

Will the DMV see its first snowfall of the season at the tail end of this weekend? According to a forecast from the FOX 5 DC meteorologist team, there's a slight chance we could see flakes in November.

Although the Thanksgiving holiday is shaping up to be a perfect day in the region with temperatures expected to approach the 60° mark during the day, rain is expected to move in overnight.

But working into the weekend and into Sunday night, things could be much different.

Current forecasts show the jet stream dipping down and bringing cold air from Canada down into the DMV and along with it, some precipitation.

The system could potentially bring snow into our area, but at this time it's a little too far away to really say for sure what will happen.

Naturally, the areas in western Maryland and Virginia could see some significant accumulations. But if the metro areas see anything out of it, it could just be some light accumulation.

We shall wait and see!
