On September 1st, the most extreme abortion law in the United States took effect in the state of Texas. Senate Bill 8 is incredibly harmful to patients seeking care, and leads to higher imposed health care costs, and economic losses. Particularly on Black, Latino, and indigenous communities.
We spoke with Ianthe Metzger, who is the Director of State Media Campaigns for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund. We discussed the bill itself, how it will impact women and Americans, as well as what you can do if you oppose this bill.
