The Washington Nationals blew a 9th inning lead last night against the Philadelphia Phillies when they blew a 3-2 lead and lost by a score of 7-5.
That's even with the Nats having an extra player on the field.
Outfielder Victor Robles took the field at the top of the 9th with a friend, namely a praying mantis on top of his hat. The mantis had been spotted on Robles' hat earlier in the dugout and stayed on for the ride as he jogged out to center field.
Robles seemed to be aware of him and probably made him his pet.
Maybe it will bring better luck tonight as the team continues their series with Philly.
