(Washington, DC) -- The Senate Armed Services Committee wants to boost the military's budget by 25-billion dollars. Both Democrats and Republicans dealt President Biden the rebuke of his 715 billion dollar plan for the military. Virginia Senator Tim Kaine told reporters in a conference call the committee approved its plan in a closed-door session Wednesday evening. Republicans had blasted Biden for requesting a budget at the same amount as the previous year, calling it not enough to deal with rising threats.
