Supporters of President Donald Trump have reportedly breached the Capitol building, according to Elijah Schaffer of The Blaze TV on Twitter.
In a video that has more than 5 million views, Schaffer says that supporters were seen "tearing down 4 layers of security fencing and are attempting to occupy the building - fighting federal police who are overrun."
He adds in another tweet that "Non-lethal force in effect."
Rebecca Tan of The Washington Post adds, "Protesters are charging toward the Captiol [sic] steps. Some tried to scale the construction structures and have been tackled by police. They want to enter the building and are making attempts at intervals. Capitol police trying to hold them back."
