Governor Hogan announces new Covid-19 Restrictions in Maryland

Governor Larry Hogan has announced strict new guidelines to help fight Covid-19. Across Maryland, the seven day positivity rate has been rising. As of Monday Maryland is at 6.57%. Maryland will be moving back into Phase two of the re-open process.

The state of Maryland will suspend all hospital visitations until further notice. The exceptions are for compassionate care, guardians with minors, obstetrics, and support for patients with disabilities.

Hospitals at or nearing capacity, may transfer patients to other hospitals that are able to provide care

Maryland will double the number of rapid response teams deployed to nursing homes and hospitals.

Effective Friday at 5pm, bars restaurants, and other establishments must close at 10pm.

The following must stay at or below 50% capacity

  • Retail Businesses
  • Organizations
  • Religious institutions
  • Personal services
  • Bingo halls
  • Bowling alleys
  • Pool Halls
  • Skating Rinks
  • Fitness centers
  • Social Clubs

Fans will not be allowed at professional or collegiate stadium racetracks.

Governor Hogan greatly encouraged residents to continue to practice social distancing and to wear a mask. He encouraged testing as well. More info can be found at covidtest.maryland.gov
