DC Restaurants Receive Grant Money, Spur Workforce

 Restaurants and bars are getting some breathing room for the upcoming cold weather.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Restaurants and bars are getting some breathing room for the upcoming cold weather.

It's all a part of a Streatery Winter Ready Grant program that allowed businesses to apply for a $6,000 dollar grant. At least 300 restaurants have been approved and will get their checks within the coming days.

The District allocated $4 million dollars to provide the assistance.
