WASHINGTON, DC -- The White House Coronavirus Task Force is reportedly recommending 18 states roll back reopening measures because of surging COVID-19 cases.
The Center for Public Integrity obtained the report dated July 14th. It's not clear why the task force did not release it. In 300-plus pages, the document argues states in red zones should insist residents wear masks outside the home and maintain physical distance.
It also recommends closing bars and gyms and limit social gatherings to ten people or fewer, both of which have been hit hard by the previous closures.
