Independence Day Celebrated At The White House

WASHINGTON, DC -- Last Saturday, President Trump spoke from the South Lawn at the White House ahead of fireworks at the National Mall in Washington, DC. The administration is called it one of the largest in history.

An estimated 17,000 service members took part in the celebration which include flyovers of cities that played vital roles in the American Revolution. But behind the display and the debate over the public gathering, COVID-19 is bringing another issue to the surface.

America’s deteriorating National Parks were in urgent need of repair before the pandemic.s Now they need funding more than ever as experts expect a massive uptick in visitors as parks reopen and they look forward to a post-pandemic America.
