Executive Alsobrooks

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks says that the county will extend coronavirus restrictions through June 1, despite the governor's announcement to move the state into it's first phase of reopening starting tomorrow at 5pm.

At a press conference this morning, Alsobrooks said the county needs more testing before they are ready to open.

She says the county is averaging nine (9) COVID-19 related deaths a day, making it the leading cause of death.

Nonessential businesses will remain closed while non-contact food delivery and pickup may continue.
