Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan lays out a plan to re-open businesses

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has announced that as of 5pm this Friday May 15th the Stay at Home order will be lifted. Maryland will move to a Safer At Home Health Advisory. This is Phase one of a three phase plan to reopen the state.

  1. Retail stores will be able to re-open at 50% capacity
  2. Manufacturing may resume operations
  3. Barber Shops and Hair Salons may re-open by appointment only.
  4. Churches may hold services at 50% capacity

All of the above must observe appropriate social distancing protocols and use PPE.

These protocols do not apply to Montgomery and Prince George Counties. They will remain under the Stay at Home order until further notice as they have seen some spikes in numbers in the past week.

Businesses are encouraged to take the Maryland Strong Back to Business pledge at open.maryland.gov/backtobusiness
