SPRINGFIELD, VA — Sheehy Auto Stores is challenging each of their locations to find ways to help in the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
“I know it was a heavy ask on my part to ask our stores to really look how they can assist in our community,” Vince Sheehy, President of Sheehy Auto Stores, told 104.7 WONK FM’s Jen Richer. “ The first thing we wanted to do was to reach out to the frontline healthcare workers…we are just so filled with gratitude for what each of them are doing everyday in very difficult conditions.”
The company is offering frontline medical industry employees 50% off their service department through the month of May.
“We know that having reliable private transportation is just essential for these folks. They’ve got enough to worry about, without worrying about a huge service bill,” Sheehy said.
With a shortage of blood supplies, stores have rolled up their sleeves to host blood and food drives, volunteered their parts trucks to deliver meals, and raise $90,000 dollars to donate to Inova Hospital.
Under the local guidelines, dealerships are considered essential services during the pandemic, and have remained open.
