Aurora Health Employees May Have Been Hacked

MILWAUKEE, WI -- Investigators say personal information of current and former employees of Advocate Aurora Health may have been hacked in a phishing scheme.

Officials with Advocate Aurora Health emailed employees to tell them state and federal investigators were working on the case.

Advocate Aurora officials say they discovered the hack early last month at one Wisconsin location.They changed credentials to lock the intruder out of the system.

he personal info of over ten-million former MGM Resort guests was posted on a hacking forum this week.

The data dump reportedly included home addresses, phone numbers and emails.MGM says it quickly notified all the impacted guests.

Punishment for hackers is slow to dole out. Four Chinese military hackers are just now being indicted in connection with a major cyber crime in the U.S.

The case involved the massive intrusion of credit reporting giant Equifax in 2017.Attorney General Bill Barr told reporters that the scale of the crime was staggering.

He called it a deliberate and sweeping intrusion into the private information of the American people. It was one of the largest data breaches in U.S. history.The hack compromised the personal data of nearly 150-million Americans.
