New Tech That Saved Man's Life Replaced His DNA With Bone Marrow Donor's

RENO, NV — A Nevada man who had a bone marrow transplant now has DNA from his donor throughout his body.

According to the New York Times, it's been four years since Chris Long underwent the lifesaving procedure to treat leukemia.

Now he's what's know as a chimera, a person with two sets of DNA.The DNA in his blood has been completely replaced by his donor's DNA.

Now, his hair is the only part of his body unaffected by the new DNA.Researchers say Long's experience is quite unique.
