House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is criticizing the weak monthly jobs report.
In a statement, Speaker Pelosi said the national economy is "faltering under the Trump administration's reckless agenda." The California Democrat argued that "uncertainty is surging, farmers are struggling" and families are facing rising costs of living.
The August jobs report out last week shows only 130,000 new jobs were added in August. That's down from July's lukewarm total of 159,000 and short of what economists predicted for last month.
