Rep. Heck: Russia is a Gas Station With Nukes

National Month for Renters September 2017 - Congressional Hearing

Congressman Denny Heck has told the Olympia Rotary Club that Russia is, "a gas station with nukes."

He said that as he outlined international threats he's seen as a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

He said Russia has "significant malevolent intent" and conducts non-stop cyber warfare against the United States.

Heck said the U.S. also faces significant threats from China, Iran, North Korea and what he called "non-state actors."

Heck recently shared what he’s learned about digital warfare, which he considers to be a “perfect example of how we are amply resourced and organized to fight the last war.”
