Cyber Forum Convenes European Command and Maryland National Guard

The United States European Command and the Maryland National Guard came together for three days late last month in an effort to share the latest in cybersecurity and start creating common terms and vocabulary.

The Adriatic 5+ Cyber Forum at the Army Research Laboratory was held April 24-26 with the goal to start planning the development of the Adriatic Charter countries cyber capabilities. The charter is an association of southeast European countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

Representatives from these countries, along with partners from the New Jersey National Guard, Maryland National Guard, Minnesota National Guard, Vermont National Guard and Maine National Guard also attended conference.

"There is so much that we can learn together, and so much we can do together," said Maj. Gen. Linda Singh, the adjutant general of Maryland. "I know the power of partnerships."
