The Pentagon has rolled out a public website to better showcase what’s happening in the Defense Department research, development, engineering and technology enterprise.
The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering launched www.cto.mil on April 24. The idea is to inform and educate service members, the public, academia and others about the goings-on at the office and to engage with the broader community, Lisa Porter, deputy undersecretary of defense for research and engineering, said in a statement.
"We are very excited to launch our new website," she said. "Our goal is to increase awareness of our efforts, and to utilize these platforms to engage with the broader research and development community, as we endeavor to develop innovative solutions that bring new capabilities and technology to the warfighter."
The website currently includes information about the office’s leadership, career and collaboration opportunities, news and events, and modernization priorities.
Michael Griffin is dual-hatted as the undersecretary of defense for research and engineering and as the chief technology officer.
