International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This day is all about unity, celebration, advocacy and action. The theme for 2019's International Women's Day is "Balance for Better." These wonderful ladies work hard ever week to keep our stations balanced so the future women of iHeartRadio DC can reach their true potential.
Meet the wonderful women of iHeartRadio DC:
BIG 100
DC101
This wonderful lady is Diane! Newswoman, diva, and an original co-host of Elliot In The Morning, Diane brings her talent for news and the dirt that every Hollywood junkie needs to know. You can listen to EITM Mondays through Fridays, 5:48a to 10 something. When Diane's not delivering the news to her radio family, she's at home with her husband and daughter. And cat. (if you want to see some really cute animals, look at her Twitter account!)
Meet Kayleigh, the associate producer for Elliot In The Morning! Kayleigh worked her way up from being an intern with DC101 to landing this position almost 9 years ago. As well as her passion for music, she also takes pride in her love of spinning and bringing the fitness community in Baltimore, MD, together. You can probably catch her at a concert, any concert. Or listening to The Killers.
HOT 995
Elizabethany has no apologies for what she may say on your favorite iHeartRadio station. Her hair color may change a lot, but her obsession with fanny packs and the 90s never will. Another love: The Washington Redskins! She currently hosts a podcast with her brother called Hail To The Siblings that features interviews with players, cheerleaders, fans and a good dose of sibling rivalry.
Riley is a spicy Puerto Rican lady originally from Tampa, Florida. She grew up listening to Top 40 music on 93.3 FLZ. It was there that she first developed her passion for radio after obtaining an internship in 2004. Her road to success was paved in many locations but it ultimately landed her a morning show host position with The Kane Show! Radio isn't her only passion. She loves the gym, shoes, and her son Lyric.
OG member of The Kane Show, Rose's amazing personality shines into the mic every morning! Even though she lives in Tampa, Fl., she's been hanging with DC since 2014. When she's not with her furbaby Sadie, you might be able to hear her rap "It's Tricky" by RUN DMC, VERBATIM.
Meet Shelby, lover of all snacks and guru of all makeup! If she's not interning with The Kane Show, she's doing stand up comedy. The phrase "though she be but little, she is fierce" describes this wonderful lady right here. She has goals for herself and nothing will stop her from getting there!
WASH-FM
This ray of sunshine is Kala, the producer of Toby + Chilli Mornings! Kala made her start as an intern for The Kane Show and worker her way up to becoming a producer when T+C Mornings started in 2018. If you ever need advice on makeup or fashion, this girl is the one to talk to!
There is always a smile on the face of Sabrina Conte! She's a Beach bum, music lover, runner, mother, wife, Redskins Fan, thrill seeker, Veteran Polar Bear for Special Olympics. A first generation Italian-American, she spends her free time as a wife and mother to her daughter.
WMZQ
Meet the sassiest woman in radio, Ty Bailey! This chicken wing enthusiast, originally from upper state New York, has made multiple variations of her name for herself in the radio world. If she's not behind the mic, you can probably find her watching a Syracuse game at a local DC bar or looking at cute pictures of pandas.
WONK-FM
Serious vibes aren't all we get from this California-native. Alexandra Lane is a former reporter for WBAL and the NBC National News desk here at iHeartRadio in DC. She was an on-camera news reporter and executive digital content producer for Larry King's digital network in Los Angeles. When she's not giving you her best Dennis Rodman impression, Alexandra loves to play tennis, do yoga, and drives a hybrid.
Crossfit isn't the only thing this amazing lady works hard for! Stacy Lyn has been on the radio in the DC metro area for over 20 years! Stacy is the morning host for WONK-FM, WONKing hard to bring you the news. You may recognize her voice as she is a freelance voiceover artist, heard on local and national commercials, public service campaigns and more. She has also been part of the I Heart family, as a DJ and fill in news anchor on DC 101 and WASH.
