Society of Automotive Engineers International is hosting a Government Industry Meeting in Washington, D.C. on April 3-5.

The SAE website notes "The meeting unites government policy and regulatory makers with auto industry representatives to discuss the effect of government action and regulations for safety, emission control, and energy conservation on future vehicle design."
Keynote speakers for the meetings are:
- Wednesday - Lawrence D. Burns, Ph.D, is a business advisor and author of “Autonomy: The Quest to Build the Driverless Car and How it Will Reshape Our World.”
- Thursday - Amy Walter is a political analyst with unparalleled access to campaign insiders and decision-makers.
- Friday - Heidi King is the Deputy Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
