In order to keep up with Microsoft and Amazon, Google has announced that they will be taking on Alooma, an Israeli cloud platform startup. This is the first major acquisition since Thomas Kurian became CEO of Google Cloud in Nov. 2018.
The data migration platform was founded in 2013 and is now based in California. The financial details for the Alooma acquisition have not been announced to the media.
