Bella Berrellez, a young Gaithersburg native, started her own line of sugar scrubs as a hobby that she shared with her mother.
When her mother was furloughed, Berrellez turned this hobby into a business to help her family. Her line is called BellaSweetScrubs.
The 11-year-old went door to door selling her scrubs, but also has an Etsy account with over 1,700 sales.
The sugar scrub that has given such success to Berrellez's Etsy site comes in many flavors including eucalyptus, lavender, and brown sugar. Each scrub is homemade and fresh to order.
